Do you know the uses of polyethylene wax?

Polyethylene wax plays a role in the masterbatch. In the plastics processing industry, a large amount of toner is used. Since the toner is difficult to disperse in the resin matrix, usually the toner and resin are prepared as a masterbatch with a high concentration of toner. Polyethylene wax has good compatibility with toner, so it easily wets the pigment, and can penetrate the inner pores of the pigment aggregate, loosening the adhesion, making the pigment aggregate more easily broken by external shear force, and the newly formed particles can also be quickly moistened and protected, and can be used as a dispersant and filler masterbatch for various colored thermoplastic resin masterbatches, and as a lubricating and dispersing agent for decomposing masterbatches.

Polyethylene wax can also charge the surface of the pigment particles with the same charge. Based on sex repulsion principle, the particles will not be attracted or collected with each other, thus achieving a uniform dispersal of the pigment. In addition, polyethylene wax can also reduce system viscosity and improve fluidity. Therefore, the addition of polyethylene wax in the production of masterbatch can improve production efficiency, increase productivity, and stabilize the dispersion effect.
When processing a master system with polyethylene wax, the polyethylene wax is first melted with resin and applied to the surface of the pigment. Due to the low viscosity of polyethylene wax and good compatibility with pigments, it wets pigments more easily, can penetrate into the internal pores of pigment aggregates, weaken adhesion and facilitate the opening of pigment aggregates under external influences. shear force, so that newly formed particles can also be quickly moistened and protected. In addition, polyethylene wax can also reduce system viscosity and improve flowability, so adding polyethylene wax during masterbatch production can improve production efficiency, increase productivity, and provide higher pigment concentrations.

When dispersing masterbatch and toner, the use of micronized wax can not only enhance color concentration, but also improve dispersion efficiency and reduce cost.
